CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT
Merchandise for consignment is accepted by appointment, Tuesday through Thursday, unless special arrangements are made. For an appointment, call (636) 696-6057. We will accept seasonal items as follows: Spring and Summer items will be taken February thru July and Fall and Winter items will be taken August thru January. Non-seasonal items will be accepted year round at our discretion. Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique reserves the right to change its schedule to meet market opportunities and seasonal transition.
Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique aims to provide desirable new and gently used children’s apparel and accessories at affordable prices. To maintain its quality commitment, Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique may decline to accept items presented for consignment. Merchandise must be in excellent condition: clothing that is clean, pressed, with no defects in any way. Shoes and other accessories also must not show signs of significant wear or damage. Items that are found to have flaws or defects after accepted for consignment may be recycled or sold at a discount. Please inspect items carefully before presenting them for consignment. There is a $5 cleaning fee assessed to all large items that are not in clean, like new condition. This will be addressed and offered when item is dropped off.
The consignment contract period is 60 days and begins the day items are entered into inventory and presented for sale. Upon acceptance for consignment, each item is tracked by consigner identification number and contract period expiration date. At consigner request, Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique will prepare a receipt of consigned items and expiration date that can be picked up by consigner.
The sales price of consigned items will be set by Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique at the time of consignment. At Taylor Tots discretion, items will remain at full price for 30 days and markdowns taken during the remaining 30 days. In addition, Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique may hold periodic sales of out of season and clearance merchandise and any merchandise in stock is subject to these sales.
Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique and consigner will receive 50 percent of the actual sales price for items sold during the 60 day consignment contract period. All consigner's receive a 10% discount on all purchases during their contract period (not to be combines with any other offers).
At the end of the 60 day consignment contract period, consigners will have seven days to reclaim unsold items. Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique will not contact consigners to advise them of consignment contract period expiration. It is the consigners responsibility to keep up with the dates and to make an appointment to return within seven days after contract period expiration to reclaim unsold items, if so desired. After seven days following contract expiration, the merchandise becomes the property of Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique.
Upon request, checks will be prepared and available for pick up by appointment on or after the 5th of each month for sales in the prior month. Consigners will be responsible for any stop payment fees on Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique checks paid out that are lost or stolen once in consigner’s possession.
Taylor Tots Children’s Boutique reserves the right to amend or replace contract guidelines and conditions at any time after the expiration of an in-date consignment contract period.
